Volunteer
The Garden Cart CSA does not require our members to work on the farm as part of their share but we would love to have you volunteer. By volunteering, members can meet the farmer, see the food grow, and know exactly where it came from.
Coming to the farm will give members insight into farming operations and a better understanding of where food comes from. We certainly welcome the companionship as we set about doing all of the farming duties required to grow great vegetables – planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting.
Members that volunteer will have a stronger sense of ownership in the farm and the crops that it produces. It is also a delight to see the sprouts come out of the ground then grow into vegetable bearing plants with the help of the farmer’s nuturing care. It is truly one of the great pleasures of gardening to say that “I grew that” when eating fresh produce.
One extra bonus – by coming to the farm you will be able to meet our mascot Bob the Steer!
